Autocad 2017 Hotfix 4
We need to correct an issue with Autocad 2016 Education Edition and our Citrix vGPU's. Hotfix 4 is listed as able to correct this issue however when we attempt to install it it says it is not for our version. We have verified that we have 64 bit installed and the hotfix if for 64 bit. Accumulated hotfix 1 for AutoCAD 2017 based products. Products and versions covered. AutoCAD 2017, AutoCAD Architecture 2017, AutoCAD Electrical 2017, AutoCAD MEP 2017, AutoCAD Map 3D 2017, AutoCAD Mechanical 2017, AutoCAD P&ID 2017, AutoCAD Plant 3D 2017, & AutoCAD Utility Design 2017. Exception: Uninstalling any of the 4 security Hotfixes listed below may also remove any installed Updates all the way back to AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2017 SP1. AutoCAD 2017.1.2 Combo Security Hotfix 64bit AutoCAD 2017.1.2 Combo Security Hotfix 32bit. The problem with using AutoCAD with 4K screen as monitor (3840×2160 pixels) is that the television will scale the input to fit the screen (in the same way you used to see 4:3 input warped to 16:9) this distortion or scaling takes processor power and/or leaves a less responsive or HQ output that we might expect.

The Windows update likely installed.NET 4.7, which doesn't play well with AutoCAD. This is a widespread and ongoing issue affecting all Autodesk products. For more information, see the official Autodesk article on the issue.
If you are an early adopter of AutoCAD 2017, be sure you keep up with the recently released HotFixes. Hotfixes can be thought of as like a mini service pack, a quick fix for specific issues.

- Layers of Xrefs that are frozen in viewports are plotting ellipses.
- Model documentation commands not working in some languages.
- Xrefs showing as needing reloading when opened from a network path to a shared folder.
- PDFIMPORT fails on an underlay with a relative path.
- May crash on opening a file when STARTUP setting is changed.
- May crash if the region and language settings contain long character strings.
- 3DROTATE Command freezes when used for point clouds.
- Migration tool may crash importing customized settings from previous releases.
